Twenty Confirmed Dead In Nasty Nepal Brake Failure

Twenty are dead and over fifty are injured following a gruesome tour bus crash that took lace in the city of Surkhet, Nepal.

Current media reports state that the bus was traveling down a steep hill when the driver lost all functionality of the brakes and careened off the side of the cliff.

Speculators say that a probable cause of brake loss was due to an over-stuffing of the bus, somehow jeopardizing the use of the brakes or even the engine as a whole.

Police said that 14 persons died on the spot and four others were lost while receiving treatment.

Of the injured, 20 are receiving medical treatment at Surkhet Regional Hospital, 6 are being treated at Maya Nursing Home and another 8 injured passengers are receiving treatments at Deuki Nursing Home.

The injured claimed that the driver’s assistant had been driving when the accident happened. Most of the passengers were from Kalikot and Bajura, on their way to India for work.
