With some late model vehicles requiring thread-locking compounds on caliper bracket bolts (GM) and even caliper guide pin bolts (Fords), it is required to clean and reapply the blue or red goo every brake job.
Loctite has a slick product that can save you some time and effort. QuickStixs are some of you favorite thread lockers, sealants and lubricants in stick form. They work well and application is easy.
I recently purchased the three sticks of anti-seize compounds. These work great on shims, clips and backing plates. My only complaint is the the stick is a little difficult to maneuver around some abutment clips and shoe lands.
These sticks can be tough to find and some jobbers are reluctant to order them due to the price compared to tubes and jars of the same compounds. But, these can be a real time saver!
