Bus Brake Failure in Kenya Kills 8

A bus carrying 15 passengers plummeted into a valley after rolling several times due to severe brake failure in Kenya this morning.

Eye-witnesses claim the bus had been heading down a steep terrain when it’s brakes went out, causing the bus to lose control, blow a tire, and veer off the side of the road.

“I was on my motorcycle behind the vehicle and it was saddening to see the bus roll several times before landing 50 meters down the slope from the main road,” a witness said.

Three people died immediately and two died upon arrival at Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital in Kenya. The other three died while undergoing treatment at the hospital. Among the dead was the driver. There were 8 survivors.
